Waterproof Hairspray
I am one of those girls who are pretty obsessed with their hair. I just hate how when I have hairspray in my hair and it's raining outside, the hairspray starts running down from my head. I'm pretty sure most of you have experienced that before, that's why I want to create a hairspray that is waterproof. This product doesn't necessarily need to be expensive just because it's special. It can be in the range of $5-$10 and can be sold at your local drug stores. My product would be targeted towards mostly women because men usually use gel, clay and etc. A hairstyle for the past few years is the infamous poof, that requires quite a bit of hairspray. Imagine you had a poof that day and its pouring rain outside. You wouldn't want your poof to deflate right? A problem that needs to put into consideration is, what are some ways to wash your hair with this product in it.
A binder with a pocket for textbook/supplies
I realized how we go to school having to carry so many textbooks and binders. It just came to mind that maybe there should be a binder with a big pocket attached to it so we can put our textbooks and writing instruments in it. There's many times when we go to class and forget to bring our textbook, pencils, pens, etc. If this is to be created, life would be so much easier for those who are forgetful. The price would be affordable, around $4. A problem with this product may be the binder being too heavy and may be hard to carry around.
The waterproof hairspray seems like a really good idea and I have not heard of it before. Also, the general market is a wide range of people, as people of many ages use hairspray. Although it may be cheap for people to buy, I think it would cost more to make it compared to the amount people are buying it at because to make it waterproof, you'd need access to chemicals and etc. A potential threat to your business could be larger brand companies. For example, once your idea gets out there, Herbal Essences or big companies like L'oreal could steal that idea and because they have the customer loyalty already, it could cause problems.
ReplyDeleteI also think that the pocket in the binder idea is cool but I think it would be very heavy. Also, I'm not sure how strong of an idea it would be, as people don't mind carrying an external pencil case anyways.
I really like your waterproof hairspray idea. Although i don't use hairspray that often myself to be able to experience how you feel but i'm sure the others that do use hairspray would feel a handful of appreciation.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like the idea of the pockets attached to binders though because it might seem goofy and inconvenient to carry around.
The waterproof hairspray idea was very well thought out and also very unique in my opinion. I don't regularly use hairspray but I can agree about the hairspray touching rain concept.
ReplyDeleteI think the idea of pockets and binder is pretty cool. Well done.
Waterproof hairspray is a pretty cool idea but I'm interested in knowing how it could be produced. Not much else to say but it sounds like it could be very profitable.
ReplyDeleteThe binder pocket idea sounds very convenient, from my own experiences and other students it sounds like this product could be worth purchasing.
I feel that your binder with pockets is rather similar to the zip-up binders. For example, the pockets and places for pens, etc. Some people do use it but I don't think that it is really popular therefore the market wouldn't be too great.
ReplyDeleteAs for hairspray, how would you actually make it and package it? And if its claimed to be waterproof, it really should be more water-resistant as then it is washable however just takes a bit of effort.
ReplyDeleteA binder with pockets seems to be a product that's already sold. Maybe you're trying to sell this within the school? However i don't see many people using these types of binders due to them usually being bulky.

The waterproof hairspray will definitely going to attract costumers and it's an unique idea too. I think this idea will be greater if you use natural ingredients.
ReplyDeleteThe Pocket Binder idea seem like it's already made. I don't think this idea will be sold much since people consider it quite heavy.

I like the idea of having waterproof hairspray however it's a little bit hard to find the chemicals to produce this product.. However, I still like it, I've been using hairspray a lot lately for curling my hair and keeping it in place, it would be very convenient and i wouldn't need to carry hairspray around!
ReplyDeleteThe second idea seems... i agree with Anna, it seems already made. Also it wouldn't be that popular because people like carrying bags around too.

I like the idea of waterproof hairspray. Although I’m not a big user of hairsprays, I’m sure it will benefit lots of those females or even men who have this problem. I would think you would have competition because there could be some hairsprays that don’t get affected on a rainy day. Your second venture idea is very useful but not profitable. This idea is very common but not many students like to carry big or heavy binders.

I really like your idea about waterproof hairspray. I think it is a new idea that lots of people will be willing to try it out.
ReplyDeleteI don’t think the second idea will work out because students usually just put all their supplies in their backpack. They probably wouldn’t want to spend money to buy a binder with a pocket for textbook.
i like the idea of water proof hair spray, because it annoys people when their style hair are wet and messed up. i believed that it can definetly attract many youths and customers. However, i think the price range will be more than 10 dollar since a normal hair spray already cost around 5 dollar.
ReplyDeletei dont think the second idea is going to work, becasue students do not want to carry a heavy binder with all the textbooks. Therefore, i think there is no potential for this product in the market.
I haven’t been through that hairspray melting experience but I sure can imagine it. But I was just wondering how your product will be produced? Since it is your new invention, how will it be provided to consumers?
ReplyDeleteOn your second venture idea, again, where would you get these pocket binders? And where will you be selling them?
Overall, the hairspray idea is very creative and the binder pockets many students can do with. Good luck with your venture Cecilia! :)

ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of the waterproof hairspray. I am sure this product will attract a lot of girls because I, as a girl, had experienced my hair being deflated after a walk in the rain. I really think this is a remarkable idea.
ReplyDeleteI don't really like the binder pocket idea because some student only carries their textbook from time to time, not always. Therefore, they won't need the pockets.
